GoodCore Software at Sibos 2019 in London

For the first time in 34 years, London was given the opportunity to host one of the largest and most famous events in the world of financial services: Sibos. The conference was held at the famous convention centre, ExCeL London.

The four-day conference – commencing on 23rd September 2019 and reaching its conclusion on 26th September 2019 – welcomed a record 11,500 professionals from the finance industry this year, making it the biggest event is Sibos’s history. The conference also holds a financial exhibition and this year, 300 exhibitors participated in it.

GoodCore Software takes pride in the fact that SWIFT, the finance giant that is responsible for the organisation of the annual Sibos conference, entrusted us with the task of developing the official mobile app for the Sibos event.

In 2016, the mobile app for the Sibos conference was first taken on by our team of devoted developers who put their best efforts into the timely completion of this project. Since then, we have been actively upgrading and maintaining the application, which allows the attendees to view the details of scheduled sessions, speakers, and other news related to the conference. Visitors can also take a 3D tour of the venue in the app.

We were honoured to have attended Sibos 2019 and had an amazing time networking with representatives of a number of FinTech pioneers, including names such as Barclays, Deloitte, Oracle and Mastercard. We got a chance to have some interesting discussions on the theme, “Thriving in a Hyper-Connected World”, as well as some lighthearted chitchat regarding the general FinTech landscape. Overall, it was a fun yet enlightening experience.

One of our favourite sessions at Sibos 2019 was this Big Issue Debate on understanding the next generation of banking customers. It is exciting to see how the banking industry is evolving quickly to cater to the requirements of “Generation Z”. We couldn’t help smiling when the moderator, Julia Hobsbawm, instructed the audience (1:03) on how to use the Sibos mobile app in order to participate in the conversation. GoodCore Software is proud to have developed the Sibos app since 2016 for the Android and iOS platforms.
